Terms & Conditions.

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Parko Auto.

By making a booking, paying for a service or otherwise engaging Parko Auto to perform an inspection, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Services

Parko Auto provides mobile vehicle inspection services, including:

  • NSW Pink Slip / e-Safety Check inspections for eligible light vehicles, motorcycles and trailers under the Transport for NSW Authorised Inspection Scheme

  • Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspections

The inclusions and pricing applicable to each service are displayed on the Parko Auto website or otherwise communicated to the customer before the booking is confirmed.

2. Mobile Pink Slip Pricing

Parko Auto charges a $199 flat rate for a Mobile Pink Slip Inspection, regardless of eligible vehicle type, within our standard service area.

The total price consists of two separate components:

Vehicle Type Fee:

Light vehicle - Total $199
NSW Inspection Fee $52
Mobile Call-Out Fee $147

Motorcycle - Total $199
NSW Inspection Fee $29
Mobile Call-Out Fee $170

Trailer without brakes - Total $199
NSW Inspection Fee $27
Mobile Call-Out Fee $172

Trailer with brakes - Total $199
NSW Inspection Fee $41
Mobile Call-Out Fee $158

The NSW inspection component is based on the applicable inspection fee prescribed by Transport for NSW. The mobile call-out fee varies by vehicle type so that the total price payable remains $199.

The $199 price is the total payable for a standard Mobile Pink Slip Inspection within Parko Auto's usual service area. Unless otherwise advised before booking, there is nothing further to pay on the day for the inspection and mobile attendance.

Where these Terms refer to a call-out fee, this is separate from the prescribed NSW inspection fee.

Prices and government-regulated inspection fees may change from time to time. The price confirmed when you make your booking will apply to that booking, subject to any correction required by law.

Locations outside Parko Auto's usual service area or other non-standard requests may attract an additional travel or call-out charge. Any additional charge will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.

3. Booking and Payment

Full payment is required upfront when making a booking through the Parko Auto website.

A booking is not confirmed until the required payment has been successfully processed and booking confirmation has been issued.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate booking information, including:

  • The correct inspection address

  • A current phone number and email address

  • Accurate vehicle registration and vehicle details

  • The correct vehicle type

  • Any information reasonably relevant to the inspection

Parko Auto is not responsible for a failed or delayed attendance resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

4. Customer Responsibilities and Vehicle Access

Customers are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is available and ready for inspection at the agreed location and appointment time.

The customer must ensure, where applicable:

  • The vehicle is present at the address provided.

  • Parko Auto has reasonable access to the vehicle.

  • Vehicle keys are available.

  • The vehicle can be accessed and operated as reasonably required.

  • The vehicle is positioned on a hard, reasonably level and stable surface.

  • There is sufficient safe working space around the vehicle.

  • The location is safe and suitable for a mobile inspection.

  • Access to the VIN, engine bay, doors, boot and other required inspection areas is available.

  • Any information or documentation reasonably required for the inspection is available.

  • Trailers and caravans are appropriately presented and connected to a suitable tow vehicle where required for the inspection.

Parko Auto may decline to commence or continue an inspection where the location, vehicle or surrounding circumstances are unsafe, unsuitable or prevent the inspection from being properly performed.

Where Parko Auto has attended but cannot perform the inspection because of circumstances within the customer's responsibility, the appointment may be treated in accordance with the Parko Auto Cancellation Policy.

5. Mobile Pink Slip / e-Safety Check Inspections

A Pink Slip, also known as an e-Safety Check, assesses whether the vehicle satisfies the applicable NSW safety inspection requirements at the time of inspection.

A Pink Slip is not:

  • A comprehensive mechanical inspection

  • A Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspection

  • A guarantee of the overall condition of the vehicle

  • A guarantee of future reliability

  • A warranty that the vehicle is free from faults or defects

Parko Auto conducts Pink Slip inspections in accordance with the applicable requirements of the Transport for NSW Authorised Inspection Scheme.

Booking and paying for an inspection does not guarantee that the vehicle will pass.

If the vehicle does not meet the applicable inspection requirements, Parko Auto cannot overlook, waive or disregard a defect simply because the customer has paid for the inspection.

Payment is for the inspection and mobile service provided, not for a guaranteed successful result.

Accordingly, the original inspection fee is not refundable simply because a vehicle fails its inspection.

6. Successful Pink Slip Inspections and Registration

Where a vehicle successfully passes its Pink Slip inspection, the inspection result will be submitted electronically through the applicable Transport for NSW inspection system.

A successful Pink Slip does not itself renew the vehicle's registration.

The registered operator remains responsible for completing the vehicle registration renewal, including payment of any applicable registration charges and obtaining any other requirements such as Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance.

Parko Auto does not renew the vehicle registration on the customer's behalf.

7. Failed Pink Slip Inspections and Re-Inspections

If a vehicle does not pass its initial Pink Slip inspection, Parko Auto will advise the customer of the identified defects or items requiring rectification.

The customer is responsible for arranging the necessary repairs.

Customers are not required to have those repairs performed by Parko Auto and may use a suitably qualified repairer of their choice.

Where the vehicle is presented for re-inspection within the applicable 14-day period, no second NSW inspection fee will be charged for the re-inspection.

However, because Parko Auto is a mobile inspection service and a second attendance is required, a:

$69 Re-Inspection Call-Out Fee

applies when Parko Auto returns to the vehicle to perform the re-inspection.

The $69 is a mobile call-out fee for the return attendance and is not a second Pink Slip inspection fee.

The customer is responsible for ensuring the identified defects have been appropriately rectified and that the vehicle is ready and available when Parko Auto returns.

If Parko Auto attends a booked re-inspection but cannot complete it because the vehicle is unavailable, inaccessible, not ready, the location is unsuitable, or another circumstance within the customer's responsibility prevents the inspection, the $69 re-inspection call-out fee remains payable.

If the applicable re-inspection period has expired, a new full inspection may be required and the standard Mobile Pink Slip Inspection price applicable at that time will apply.

8. Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspections

A Parko Auto Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspection provides an assessment of a vehicle's condition at the time and under the conditions in which the inspection is performed.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the inspection is primarily visual and non-invasive.

Parko Auto does not dismantle vehicle components solely for the purpose of identifying concealed defects unless expressly included in the booked service.

A Pre-Purchase Inspection is not a guarantee or warranty that the vehicle:

  • Is completely free from faults or defects

  • Will remain fault-free after the inspection

  • Will not require future repairs or maintenance

  • Has no concealed or intermittent faults

  • Will satisfy the customer's particular expectations or intended use

Some faults may not reasonably be detectable during an inspection, including intermittent problems, concealed damage, internal component deterioration or faults that only occur under particular operating conditions.

The inspection report should be considered together with any other relevant information available to the purchaser when deciding whether to purchase the vehicle.

9. Seller or Owner Access

The customer booking a Pre-Purchase Inspection is responsible for arranging appropriate permission and access with the vehicle's seller, dealership, owner or person in possession of the vehicle.

This includes ensuring:

  • The seller is aware Parko Auto will be attending.

  • The vehicle is available.

  • The keys are available.

  • Reasonable access to the vehicle is permitted.

  • The vehicle may be operated or road tested where appropriate and permission has been provided.

If the seller or owner restricts access, Parko Auto may complete as much of the inspection as reasonably possible and record the limitation in the inspection report.

Where restrictions are significant enough to prevent the inspection from reasonably proceeding, the appointment may be treated as an inaccessible vehicle appointment.

The inspection fee remains payable where Parko Auto has attended but the inspection is restricted or prevented because of access arrangements outside Parko Auto's control.

10. Road Tests

A road test may be undertaken as part of a Pre-Purchase Inspection where Parko Auto considers it appropriate.

A road test is subject to:

  • Permission from the vehicle owner or authorised person

  • The vehicle being legally and reasonably suitable to drive

  • Appropriate registration and other legal requirements

  • Safe road, traffic and weather conditions

  • Parko Auto considering the road test safe and appropriate

Parko Auto is not required to conduct a road test where doing so would be unsafe, unlawful or unreasonable.

If a road test cannot be performed, this limitation may be recorded in the inspection report and the remainder of the inspection may proceed.

11. PPSR Search

A PPSR search is included as part of Parko Auto's Pre-Purchase Inspection report.

The PPSR component reflects the information available through the relevant Personal Property Securities Register service at the time the search is conducted.

Parko Auto will report the information obtained from the PPSR search but does not independently control or guarantee the accuracy, completeness or continued status of information maintained by third-party or government databases.

Customers should consider the PPSR information together with the remainder of the inspection report and any other appropriate enquiries before purchasing a vehicle.

12. Pre-Purchase Inspection Reports and Reliance

A Pre-Purchase Inspection report is prepared specifically for the customer who commissioned and paid for the inspection.

The report reflects the vehicle's condition and circumstances observed at the time of inspection.

Unless Parko Auto agrees otherwise in writing, the report is provided for the commissioning customer's use and should not be relied upon by a third party as though Parko Auto performed the inspection specifically for that third party.

13. Photographs and Videos

Parko Auto may take photographs and/or videos where reasonably necessary to:

  • Conduct the inspection

  • Document the vehicle's condition

  • Record inspection findings

  • Satisfy applicable inspection requirements

  • Prepare a Pre-Purchase Inspection report

  • Maintain appropriate inspection and business records

Inspection photographs and videos will not automatically be used for advertising, social media or promotional purposes.

Where appropriate, separate consent will be sought before customer vehicle content is used for marketing purposes.

14. Appointment Times and Mobile Attendance

Because Parko Auto provides a mobile service and travels between appointments, scheduled appointment times are estimates.

Parko Auto will make reasonable efforts to attend at the scheduled time.

Traffic, road conditions, weather, previous appointments and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally cause delays.

Where there is a significant delay, Parko Auto will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer.

15. Customer Delays

Customers must ensure the vehicle and required access are ready at the scheduled appointment time.

Parko Auto will make reasonable efforts to accommodate minor delays where possible.

However, a significant delay may affect our ability to complete the inspection without impacting subsequent appointments.

Where this occurs, Parko Auto may need to leave and reschedule the appointment or treat the appointment as a late cancellation or no-show in accordance with the Parko Auto Cancellation Policy.

16. Weather and Unsafe Conditions

Parko Auto may delay, relocate, suspend or reschedule an inspection where weather, lighting, road conditions, the inspection location or another circumstance makes the inspection unsafe or impractical.

This may include:

  • Heavy rain or storms

  • Extreme weather

  • Inadequate lighting

  • Unsafe roadside locations

  • Excessive pedestrian or traffic activity

  • Unstable or unsuitable ground

  • Insufficient safe working space

Where Parko Auto determines that an appointment must be rescheduled for safety reasons outside the customer's reasonable control, the customer's payment may be transferred to another available appointment without an additional rescheduling charge.

Where Parko Auto ultimately cannot provide the booked service, the customer will be offered an appropriate refund in accordance with applicable law.

17. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Bookings are subject to the Parko Auto Cancellation Policy.

Customers should review the Cancellation Policy before making a booking.

In summary, customers who provide more than 24 hours' notice may cancel for a full refund or reschedule at no additional charge.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, the payment may be transferred once to another available appointment in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.

No-shows and appointments that cannot proceed because the vehicle is unavailable, inaccessible or otherwise not appropriately presented may result in the applicable payment being forfeited.

18. Limitations of Vehicle Inspections

Vehicle inspections have inherent limitations.

Parko Auto will perform its services with due care and skill. However, an inspection cannot necessarily identify every existing or developing defect, particularly faults that are:

  • Concealed

  • Intermittent

  • Internal to components

  • Inaccessible without dismantling

  • Not present during the inspection

  • Not reasonably apparent under the inspection conditions

No statement in an inspection report should be interpreted as a guarantee of the vehicle's future condition, reliability or performance unless Parko Auto expressly provides such a guarantee in writing.

19. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Where the Australian Consumer Law or another law provides customers with rights that cannot legally be excluded, those rights continue to apply.

20. Complaints and Disputes

If you are dissatisfied with a Parko Auto service, inspection or report, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can review your concern.

Parko Auto will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as removed or modified only to the extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

24. Changes to These Terms

Parko Auto may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, pricing, business practices or legal and regulatory requirements.

The Terms applicable to a booking will generally be those published or provided at the time the booking is made, subject to applicable law.
